Rising 6th graders with one year of playing experience (9:00-12)
Rising 7th-8th graders with two years of playing experience (1:00-4:00)
Looking for a fun, engaging, and memorable way for your daughter to continue her musical journey during the summer?
Woodlands would love to welcome students with two or more school years of instrumental music experience who are currently enrolled in a band or orchestra program in their school districts to join our sixth through eighth grade All Girls Music Summer Camp!
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Rising 6th graders
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rising 7th and 8th graders
In our music camp, students playing a variety of different instruments, at varying skill levels will learn to develop their technique and musicianship performing new and engaging music together as they grow as musicians, develop new friendships, and most importantly, have fun!
If your daughter would like to be a part of a wonderful musical experience, please consider joining us from June 20 through July 6 with a grand performance held on July 7.
Director's Biography
Mr. Hickey became a teacher to inspire students to develop a life long love of music and learning. He believes that music plays an important role in the lives of many and that learning to play an instrument can create some of the greatest memories of a student’s academic journey. Weather performing or teaching, Mr. Hickey loves to share his passion for music with his students. As an orchestra teacher Mr. Hickey has had great success. He began teaching at an orchestra summer camp in 2019 and loves to see students grow and become excited for rehearsal each day. At Woodlands Academy, Mr. Hickey loves the value that is placed on community, and the pursuit of excellence. Mr. Hickey started his Woodlands journey in spring of 2022.
