Join us for Imagine Yourself in the C-Suite 

Dear Woodlands Families,

Imagine Yourself in the C-Suite is an educational event series that provides an opportunity for school-aged girls across Chicagoland to engage in dialogue with leading professionals and with one another. Featured speakers include CEOs and executives who share their success stories – as well as the failures that helped shape their professional development – to inspire achievement, build confidence and embolden girls to forge pathways to excellence.

On Monday, April 24, please join us in welcoming Chevy Humphrey to our April C-Suite event. A sips and sweets reception will start at 6:30 pm, followed by the 7:00 pm program immediately after. All are welcome. Below, please find a student agenda, event details and a link to register.

In January 2021, Ms. Humphrey became the first woman and Black American to head a science center in the United States - the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago (MSI). Ms. Humphrey leads with sound management, entrepreneurship, and deploys resources to gain market share and respect, donor confidence, and public support. Please read her full biography for more details about her journey.

Ms. Humphrey will be interviewed by alumna Ms. Catherine Dorman '13, who works as a Museum Content Developer for the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream. Ms. Dorman serves on the Woodlands Academy Alumnae Association Board.

Please join us for this vital conversation about helping young women envision themselves at the highest levels of leadership. Additionally, leadership-inspiring programming will be available for girls in grades 5-8 before the panel discussion.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the interview of Ms.Humphrey. To help keep the focus on our students, parents are asked to hold their questions for Ms. Humphrey until the end of the event. Kindly register to help us plan accordingly.

Student Agenda:

• Juniors and Seniors, you will be meeting in Gloria Dei at 5:30 pm for a pre-C-Suite workshop led by Mr. Proctor, parent of Eleanor '23. Dinner will be provided at 4:45 pm in the dining room. Please arrive at the Gloria Dei Center by 5:20 pm.
• 6:30 pm -  Sips and Sweets Reception. Please join your daughter, members of our Sacred Heart family, and guests from the community for a networking reception and panel discussion in Gloria Dei.
• 7:00 pm - Panel begins 

Student Expectations: 

Juniors & Seniors

• Wear traditional uniform
• Attend April 24 event 
• Participate in workshop at 5:30 pm
