Dear Wildcat Families,
The Woodlands Community is thrilled to invite you and your incoming freshman student or transfer student to attend New Student Orientation and Parent/Guardian Orientation on Friday, August 19. Starting a new school is exciting, and orientation is here to help you navigate the pathway on your new journey. Below, you will find details and a brief itinerary about what to expect during the day.
Itinerary:
9:00 am All New Students and Families
Kickoff in the Sacred Heart Chapel
Families will hear from the Head of School and meet orientation leaders and administration members. Students will also meet their faculty advisor.
9:15 am – 11:00 am Activities for All New Students
Students will meet in small groups for a chance to get to know their class members and have a fun Q&A with their orientation leader. Following this, students will receive their locker (no specific supplies needed) , take a campus tour and meet teachers, and see the uniform fashion show! Please be aware that yearbook & I.D. photos will be taken on orientation day.
9:15 am – 11:00 am Orientation for Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians will meet with members of the administration and our parent association. The morning will consist of presentations regarding school life, academics, transportation, etc. and to answer any questions that you have.
11:00 am – 11:45 am New Student Prayer Service
Our new students and their families will be welcomed in the Sacred Heart community during this special service. Administration members, student orientation leaders, campus ministry, advisors, and the Leadership Team look forward to calling each new student forward to be recognized. This is a meaningful tradition at Woodlands.
The Woodlands Spirit Store will be open for business following the prayer service. Please stop by if you would like to purchase spirit wear for the year.
