Clubs & Activities

Woodlands Academy Council of Representatives (WACOR) is the school’s main student governing body, an elected self-governing student/faculty organization that promotes community among our students, faculty, and administration. WACOR helps to plan and support school and community-related activities and facilitates communication among students and faculty. WACOR includes representatives from each advisory group and a president, vice-president, and secretary/treasurer.

Each House - House Stuart, House Barat, House Duchesne, and House Hardey has their own House Council Members composed of a president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and a house representative. Elected by members of their House, these four House Councils act as the decision-making body for the House. They work together to bring a sense of pride, excitement, and community to the House. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all House events and activities in collaboration with their adult Head of House.

Clubs and organizations each have their own unique leadership structure. Student representatives, in collaboration with the club faculty advisor, run meetings and activities. Students interested in forming a new club are encouraged to take the initiative and make a proposal to the Dean of Students. Submissions are reviewed to ensure that the club supports and aligns with Woodlands' mission and the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria. 

A service representative is elected in advisory and acts as a liaison with Service Club. The representative is responsible for helping organize and support quarterly service projects for the school.

Resident Community Council (RCC) is the residence hall’s elected student government. Comprised of an elected student board and up to two council members from each class, RCC plans activities for all boarding students, contributes to an atmosphere of care and concern in the Woodlands Academy Residence Life program and promotes cooperation among students and staff.
