Tuition, Merit & Financial Aid

A Sacred Heart education is an investment in your daughter's future.

I truly cannot express with words how much I value my Woodlands education: I have been vigorously challenged by my academic studies, culturally enlightened and enriched through the global focus of Woodlands, and have become a more resilient and confident young woman. Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart has allowed me to find my voice.Elizabeth '17

Since our founding, we have been committed to working with families to make a Woodlands Academy education a financial reality.

Financial aid awards are used to offset tuition costs and do not require repayment. Monies in the school’s endowment fund these awards and demonstrate Woodlands’ commitment to maintaining a socio-economically diverse population.

Providing an independent school education requires careful financial planning and considerable sacrifice for most families. Woodlands offers options to assist you in meeting tuition payments, and the amount of financial assistance is determined by your family's need and by the availability of funds.

Merit Scholarships

Merit Scholarships are awarded to incoming ninth grade students and are non-need based. Criteria are based upon strong academic performance, test scores, and the applicant's potential for success. Students must complete their application by January 15 in order to be considered for a Merit Scholarship.

To keep a Merit Scholarship each year, students must remain in good standing at Woodlands.

How Need is Determined

Woodlands Academy utilizes the School and Student Service for Financial Aid's need analysis service to determine your family’s contribution to tuition. You submit information to SSS on forms provided by the Office of Admission and Financial Aid. To establish your contribution, SSS considers factors such as total income, assets, family size, and number of children in tuition-charging schools.

Who Qualifies

After we have accepted your daughter for admission, our Financial Aid committee determines awards on the basis of demonstrated financial need without regard to race, sexual orientation, religion, national or ethnic origin in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. Each award is need-based and requires no direct repayment. However, the school hopes that, when possible, current recipients will make an effort to be generous to the school at a later date so that future students can enjoy a Woodlands Academy education. Please remember: awards are reviewed annually and are only based on financial need and not on academic, athletic, or artistic performance.
