Learning Program

Woodlands Academy’s Learning Program provides individualized academic support for students with mild, diagnosed learning needs. Through one-on-one sessions built into the school day, students develop skills in organization, executive functioning, reading, writing, and more. The program fosters confidence, self-advocacy, and independent learning—empowering students to thrive in a college-preparatory environment.

Health and Wellness

At Woodlands Academy, your personal growth matters. As part of a Sacred Heart education, we believe in helping you live a balanced, healthy, and fulfilling life — in and out of the classroom.

We support student well-being in ways that help you grow as a whole person. Through a range of programs and resources, you’ll build:

  • Physical wellness

  • Social-emotional skills

  • Confidence in your decision-making

  • A strong sense of self

  • Self-advocacy and the courage to speak up

  • Real confidence in who you are

You’ll never have to figure things out alone. You’ll have support through your advisory group, individual counseling if needed, a thoughtful college counseling program, and health and PE classes. You’ll also benefit from the Student Development Curriculum and the care of the Student Support Team — all here to help you thrive during your time at Woodlands.

Academic Connections

At Woodlands Academy, we want you to feel confident and supported in your learning. That’s why we provide built-in study hall time—a quiet space to focus or catch up on work. If you need extra help, teachers are always available before or after school and during community time.

Our teachers encourage you to ask questions and seek support whenever you need it. Plus, you’ll find classmates ready to collaborate and help each other succeed. With these resources, you’ll have what it takes to stay on track and thrive academically.

Advisory

At Woodlands Academy, each student is part of a small, supportive advisory group that meets every morning and stays together all four years. Led by a dedicated faculty advisor, these groups offer a consistent space for reflection, connection, and communication. The program fosters strong relationships, personal growth, and a sense of belonging—serving as each student’s home base throughout high school.
