IT ALL BEGINS WITH REFLECTION!  We launched the Lenten Season with our Day of Reflection: Women of Forgiveness and Reconciliation. More than 30 women (alums, RSCJ, current parents, friends, and relatives) shared reflection and Sacred Heart spirit with each other and with facilitator, Lyn Osiek RSCJ. This first annual event confirmed our strong community of women and the bond we share to forgive and reconcile with each other and ourselves.

Thank you to our committee chair and Alumnae Board member Mary Clare Spencer Starshak ’74 and all those who volunteered for this wonderful day.

We continue to be in community with one another as we journey through the ending of winter and anticipation of spring, and we invite you to be a part of our many events!  Mark your calendar for these dates:

We are seeking nominations for the St. Philippine Duchesne Outstanding Alumnae Award. This award is presented every year to a Woodlands alumna who personifies the spirit and teachings of the Sacred Heart.  Nominations must be submitted by April 15th.  The St. Philippine Duchesne Award is presented at the WAAA Induction on the 17th of May.

Last but not least, I want to thank all of you (11%) who have participated in Annual Fund 2012-2013. I ask that for those who have not to donate on line today! Our goal is to reach 15% this year and ANY amount you contribute will help us achieve our goal.

Warm regards to all,
