Applying to Woodlands

Our Admission Staff wants to learn about you as an individual. We’ll ask questions that allow us to get to know what you dream about, what goals you’ve set, and who you want to become. We’ll also ask your teachers and other people who know you well for recommendations.

If you have not already received our application, please download our Woodlands Academy Admission Application. We also strongly encourage you to visit us for a Shadow Day for an interview with a member of our Admission Staff.

Application Requirements

To apply to Woodlands Academy, you are required to:

1. Submit your application for admission. Your application must include:
   • Application fee of $50 domestic, $100 international.
   • Student Essay
   • Parent Essay
   • Credentials Release Form
   • Recommendations
     • English, Math, and Principal/Homeroom Teacher recommendations are mandatory.
     • A Foreign Language recommendation is required if you plan to study a Foreign Language course at Woodlands.

     • Learning Program Applicants
       Prospects interested in applying for the Learning Program are required to submit a Learning Program Recommendation to be completed by the applicant's current Learning Program Specialist.

2. Submit your Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) scores. We strongly encourage students to take the SSAT in October, November, December, or January.

Admission Decision

Woodlands’ Admission Committee will notify you about your admission decision. Qualified applicants will continue to be accepted as space allows.

Woodlands Academy welcomes qualified students of any race, religion, color, nationality, or ethnic background to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities of the institution. Application Timeline

2012/2013 SSAT National Test Dates:

You can register online at SSAT. All testing days fall on a Saturday.

SSAT registration forms may be obtained by request through our Admission Office or by contacting SSAT directly and registering online. When you register for the SSAT, please request that your scores be reported directly to Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart. Woodlands’ school code is 8273.
